Comprehensive Options

As promised in the last posting, most of the non-essential features of this theme have been made optional.

Rather than implementing this change via an interface plugin, the features are kept in the theme, their usage controlled with theme settings. This avoids the overhead of a separate plugin while providing the same benefits to the user.

One feature that is now optional is the main navigation menu in the header. If you prefer, you can use a third-party plugin instead. You may not want to, however, as the menu is a new widget, designed to be simpler and more maintainable than the hierarchical widget that was used before.

Many other improvements have been made. Worth mentioning is that a child theme is now included in the repository, to help you get started with customisation.
